HOST a "DINNER AND A SONG"

HOUSE CONCERT.

I love being asked by you to perform live events for house concerts on weekdays and you don't even mess up your weekend as we do a "short and sweet" 45 minute concert event and brief dinner(dim the lights and you won't even have to clean the house):

Hey YOU! ( yes YOU). I need you to open your mind, your heart and the doors of your home for the greater good of mankind and as a postive spiritual way to spend a short evening relieving the stress of a world overflowing with "lengthy" committments. This is truly a "no committment" evening as I make it easy(and you make it easy on yourself and guests if you follow my guide below) I will cure your heart and soul as I sing for my supper. Emotionally, I promise my up to 45 minute set  heartfelt songs  will make you laugh cry and will be a night to remember.

 

Experience something original and memorable in a short amount of time: Think about it, last time you want to a 2 hour movie and took the family and spent $40 to 6o on tickets and snacks for some corporate entity. Spend less than that and experience a live special event IN PERSON  at home and you don't even have to drive anywhere.  

 

You, yes you have a house, condo or apartment, so pick up the phone and call me now at 480 234 3181 to book(am I beating a dead horse, or is it you that has not called already, pick up the phone and you can read the rest while its ringing).

 

FYI, I don't care if you are a US Senator with big social circle of movers and shakers or a college student with your first apartment and just a few friends eating Ramen(been there done both long story except for the US Senator part). Any group appreciates a short set of live heartfelt original music.

 

ANYONE can host me weekday PM's for "dinner and a song".

 

"Dinner and a Song" is a weekday 45 minute acoustic music set provided by me. You as Host or Hostess easily gets to be envy of the neighborhood by providing original quality kick ass music and light hearted entertainment with my in between song banter.

 

STEPS TO HOST "Dinner and a Song"

• Make a guest list

• invite 20-40 friends coworkers, heck, even your dry cleaner or hair stylist. (make sure you get 10-20 RSVPs)

• Don't spend money on invitations, use Evite or make a Facebook "event".

• Its a good rule of thumb to invite "twice as many" as you want to come(the more the merrier) and then think its awesome when 50% or more RSVP.

• Provide soft drinks(or have guests BYOB,  hey its YOUR party)

• Make the Catering EZ Its a weeknight!: Pre purchase and pre stage paper plates/plastic ware and napkins.

• Day Of: Welcome your guests and let them know the "song" part will start promptly before the "Dinner part" of Dinner and a song. 630pm or 7pm is a great time of day so folks can make it after work.

• After the 30 to 45 minute show is over, have food ready(Make an easy to serve dish to serve to 10 to 20. Better yet, make it easy on yourself and just pick up your favorite Pizzas, KFC, heck even a few 12 packs of Taco Bell Hardshell Tacos to coincide with the end of the show

• Introduce everyone(and make a big deal offering to have your musical act come to THEIR HOUSE next for a DINNER AND A SONG that they host.

• Most importantly, be a great host and thank the entertaining energetic kind  musician who performed for you and make sure all know CDs and T Shirts are for sale $5 to $25!)

• Give your guests a heads up on the invite that this evening is a "quick hit" ONE TIME brief "Event" and will be over within 1 1/2 hours so you can get your house and life back as its a weeknight.

WHAT IS IN IT FOR ME? (so glad you asked!) :)

I profusely worship and thank you for being such a great host and for your service to mankind. All you have to do is provide your house, invite with the goal of having a MINIMUM of 10 to 20 attending. Most houses can accomodate 30 to 50 guests.

 

We can make an impromptu stage ANYWHERE. I put out my nice looking tip jar, perform and sell my merchandise. FYI by the grace of a higher power, I always have enough to get to next show or recording session and to pay cash for it. 

 

Not meaning to go all "rock star" on you, but I might grab a slice of pizza or spare soft taco after that show!

MORE ABOUT ME: I'm a guitarist that people LOVE to listen to, I'm a singer also that challenges you with my voice. I am a attention whore who takes pride in my guitar playing, but not in my singing. Sometimes, I bring surprise special guests to help on vocals/sometimes I'm alone. 

 

I have been writing original music since the second day I started playing guitar in 1984(1st day was spent doing "Smoke on the water"  could go on and on BLAH BLAH but I prefer you just "GOOGLE" my old rock band "Such Sweet Thunder" w keyword NEBRASKA.  I have been playing professionally since 1987, concentrating on originals and electric guitar(Think Telecasters/Rickenbackers/Marshalls)in full rock bands. I am now concentrating on ACOUSTIC STYLINGs and bringing intimate music to homes. NOTE for Cash, I will play bigger venues and I ADORE opening for Rock or Acoustic Acts!!
